Our true employment: first day on the job

Our true employment: first day on the job

For a happy marriage make love daily
Prioritize as one might attend to showing up on work on time
There is a correlation, a consequence to an active acknowledgment
Of that which requires nourishment

An unfed body’s bones protrude in eventual stark contrast
To reflect the absence of that which is deemed standard
Love is not so different of an animal
Hours, debating fear, alternative options compared

This choice is daily, this want for this organism to perpetuate
Into a redwood can not be so without a sunrise cresting and sunset nesting
In branches of the Earth’s rotation, a planet’s revolution to pass the circumference
Of these internal water rings we rarely focus upon their needs

Years of drenched splendor and famine thin
The twenty-four hour compliments are examined in our attention
To the crest and wanton tide of each season broken down into
Falling leaves of innocence crisp and crackled in the hands of the other

Picking up and cognizant that these former mothered children days
Must return to God as food for this soil so that fresh cut extensions may bud
I prune you my love, I tend your forest
Lest I ever forget, the bounty and the parched sands

All grown in the difference of daily gardening
