Adjudication

 Adjudication

Carved out and cordless with no place to plug in
No batteries or bartered energy sources
Wanting to speak but the strands of these vocals
Keep tight in horses, standing staunch as mules

That whispers are extravagances too gluttonous to consume
Strapped to this seat, a lawyer nesting in her brief
Entrenched in every letter, every nuance of code
Every vantage point that could be un-tombed in the silence of this room

Aware that even the slightest out of order utterance
Could bring about a mistrial and all the driving and the time in
Of reference and study could be pissed away in a flurry
Of judge’s calls and bustling civil halls of order in the corners

Of knowing this is a circus of sands fluttering in the air of where
The music sits idle in the sequestered marrow of what makes a man, a man
This defined so blind and the times to move are consumed
With schedules and meddles tested in the court dates manifested

On what can not be agreed to nor discussed and impasse
Of all that is left in these carrying cases of excess baggage
Another life and other electric spikes of surges in the urges
To recognize what was and what was not and all this conjecture just ties knots

In the safety line to realign the direction out this hedge maze
Can not call out or trespassers will be shot, but having to go in despite
Knowing what is not, permitted in this ransacked kingdom
The king must sneak his way back in, to find the princess, to allocate the treasury

And all these mind fields impair his trajectory from ever just picking up his things
And moving on, each of these steps forlorn and ambivalent amidst the suicide sentiments
Castle under siege and silent to not alert the enemies within the gates
Historic truth like a pitfall trap to go lost and off the map of where this needs to go

So aware that love is not evidence, no video recording, only vantage points
To take advantage of revisionist history for divergent family Bibles
Saddle past mid day walking in and taking claim to the adjudicator’s discretion
These trinkets and these treasures tossed in the same sack, wanting some and none of it back.
