Gag Refrain

Gag Refrain

God, Guns, America, America, God, Guns
Guns, America, God, Repeat, Refrain, Façade

Wave like hands in a concert of Trojan horse outrage
Oh my how did the experiment monkeys get out the cage?
Opium smoked out, shoulder rocket to Russian helicopters
Somehow the launcher ascended, crawled inside our United

Stock market ticker, crude-oil fuel, accelerate into the fifty-first story
The majority is falling in crumbling concrete fist pumps
Accelerate the colors that refuse to run
From problems, systemic like the inability to take a punch in the jaw

Crumbling poverty drug war, communistic threat to the hard core
Sickle and hammer stack, grow a beard and no parachute in the back pack
Kamikaze oyster opening up in Macando waters, explosion, Oh God!
Someone’s daughter died.  Not a female!  Pimp a fireman in a viral email

To campaign contributors to rally the war drums
Elect the red-cape Superman who can avenge the victims
The innocents of commerce trying to fuel 401k constituents
Fire a nuke at a bee hive, melt the horizon and quake the tide

Of revenge killings crimson Louisiana coastline to the Pharaoh
Who will not let who’s people go?  Beyond the web of necessity versus causalities
Right, wrong, connect the crowds rallying cry, before the final market bell, yell

God, Guns, America, America, God, Guns
Guns, America, God, Repeat, Refrain, Façade

Bought my lottery ticket Sunday morning
Prayed for the innocents to even the sum
Of sentiment owed for wars fought in foreign lands
For paybacks sewn in revenge killings, how many add to peace

Use Einstein’s bomb to plant the tree for the cure for AIDS
Now, light the fuse and burn the leaves
Pedestals of too tall for the shrapnel, black kettles and war medals
Honored with works hard enough for health care, priorities straight,
Yell loud to keep them sacred

God, Guns, America, America, God, Guns
Guns, America, God, Repeat, Refrain, Façade
