Tunneling to Monte Cristo

Shifting in sitting of that world or this
Digging tunnels out of cells in the Chateau d‘if
Not seeing sunlight, but another room with a soul
Crying freedom

So we see what say, what we ask, will we pay
With our time to invest in what comes
Not the list of expected of God’s incorrectness
At what we thought was best, but in the end we confess

That what happened was better
Than the prayed for never
Coming in the wind at the moment left chagrinned
That the blessing unrequited blared like a siren

To grow a path anew in a direction to
Where we never saw coming
Salvation in the tunneling

Ah ha, Ah ha, found a root, found a root!

Ah, ha, Ah, ha, look we found a root!
