Interstate Exit

Pink in meat the flushed muscle of the idle body
Lying in a coffee ground motel room festering
Bloody lips thinking of suicide in the ceiling tiles
Bathroom mirror or alternative solution laundry piles

Lick the venereal carpet patches molding Schlitz
Lighter flick and plastered slips of wallpaper curling up
Begging to be torn yanked right down the wall
Into a white flash artistic clobber

For the denizen illegal alien who gets to bleach the floorboards
Powder in the shells eyeing a gas station and the dip
The shattered green glass to welcome barefoot priests
Yodeling solicitations for prancing therapy

Gargle the Gatorade and chew the caramel wafers
Sealed in plastic nutritional content blares to a camera’s eye
Height chart by the slide for pornographic baristas of Kool
Give me a gallon of unleaded to chug right here

Ignite me to the party and share the exuberance

Liberation in the footsteps laughing in the remnants
