At the root of almost all historical
perversions of the two dominant monotheisms on the planet: Christianity and
Islam is the extrapolated anti-feminism at the core of Abrahamic
patriarchy. An Abrahamic god is
masculine, the leading prophets in the theater of teachings are men. Women are subservient and sublimated in
rights and privileges in the ability to perform, participate, and lead in the
power structure of the groups.
The Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition,
African slavery by humans of European descent, Imperialism using the Bible as a
pacifier of rebellion, women in each of these Christian-led pursuits took an
uneven burden that echoes in the Planned Parenthood shootings and legislative
combat disproportionally affecting women of color in America today. Women’s access to birth control and
healthcare is the number one issue to curb population growth in the poorest
populations of the Earth for our species to survive.
The Taliban and Boko Haram are
perverted hijacks of Islam where a female’s access to education, choice, power,
and her body are prohibited, stolen, and mangled in the mashing maw of a
patriarchal beast. If the world can focus
on one thing to stop this type of violence it is to understand what feminism
is, how men raise sons to be feminists and to understand the importance of
shifting towards matriarchal principles of empathy, equality, and growth over
the patriarchal systems of consolidating power, violence, and ownership.
