#trumpshowusyourpenis

There was a time when Bill Maher challenged Drumpf to prove he was not an orangutan after Donald got riled up in the Obama birther parade.  Donald brought this on himself as a limp tool of the political machine barking show over substance by alluding to his cock in an actual Republican presidential debate.  This is the America we have chosen.  Show the world your penis Mr. Drumpf.

This is about the ape dick America.  If the size you indicate really is because you are part orangutan I am pretty sure this explains your obsession that Obama is really a Kenyan or that Cruz is Canadian.  You are Sumatran Mr. Drumpf and your schlong is the key to this election.  You know it and now the American people know it.  #trumpshowusyourpenis

Only Ten States Matter 20150305

The presidential election roughly comes down to ten swing states, six key, and four likely to go Democratic based on voting trends.  Key (Electoral College votes): Colorado 9, Florida 29, Nevada 6, North Carolina 15, Ohio 18, and Virginia 13.  Likely Democratic with Iowa being most likely to go Republican: Iowa 6, New Hampshire 4, Pennsylvania 20, and Wisconsin 10.  Of these states only Iowa in 2004, and New Hampshire in 2000 have gone Republican since 1992.  In every other election they went Democrat.

The rest of America is functionally a given and irrelevant.  Why?  Since Clinton in 1992 of the states denoted as Democrat only New Mexico in 2004 went Republican.  The states of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and the District of Columbia have all gone Democrat in every other presidential election.

Since 1992, of the states denoted as Republican only Indiana in 2008, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, West Virginia in 1992, 1996, and Montana in 1992 went Democrat.  The states of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming have all gone Republican in every other presidential election.

What does this mean?  If the likely Democratic states all go Democrat, a Democrat can win any combination of Nevada and Colorado or any one of Florida, Virginia, North Carolina or Ohio and lose the rest of the ten swing states and get the 270 electoral college votes to win.  For Republicans to win if the likely four go Democratic, Republicans would have to win Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia, plus either Colorado or Nevada.

If Republicans win Iowa, any combination of Nevada or Colorado and any one of North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia would equal a win or just win Florida.  Democrats could lose the rest.  If Republicans win Iowa they would still have to win Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia, but could lose Colorado and Nevada.

If you look at swing state primaries Sanders won Colorado and New Hampshire big, lost Nevada and Iowa very close (less than 600 people) and Clinton won Virginia going away.  On the Republican side due to the high number of candidates turn out has been higher than usual, especially in Virginia, Nevada, and New Hampshire.  Trump won all of those states, but received less total votes than the Democratic winner in both Virginia and New Hampshire.

For popular vote the Republican winners since 1980 Reagan, 1984 Reagan, 1988 Bush won by 8.4, 16.8, and 7 million votes.  Starting in 1992 Bush Jr. won by half a million and then by 3 million, basically the 2000 election was decided by 537 votes in Florida.  On the other hand Clinton won by 5.8 million and 8.2 million although Ross Perot skewed 1.9 million and 800,000 votes in those elections.  Obama won by 9.5 and 4.9 million.

The other lesson is turnout.  In 1980 to 1988 total turnout averaged 89 million.  From 1992 to 2012 total turnout averaged 112.8 million, with 129 and 126 million in the last two elections.  The part of the population of America that is growing is more Democrat than Republican.

Downsized

There was a moment when Arthur Andersen was bleeding out after Enron
I was in the process of being laid off, jettisoned as flotsam for an income statement
Despite the CNN broadcasts I did not hear it coming on that day
As if I was safe or that my work product was relevant to the employment evisceration

There was a phone call received by my coworker
Approximately four thirty on a Monday afternoon in 2002
Leave the publicly traded company you are working on their 10Q
After having finished the previous year’s 10k the Friday before

Return to home office
Managing partner is waiting
Enter
We have to let you go

I thought of my father.
His exchange with a company that would later become Entergy
His flights to Pine Bluff Arkansas for labor away from us like a migratory bird
Dropping food in mouths

His termination, release into that wilderness
The self judgement on his manhood
How he rebounded, how he did not

Yesterday I got summoned into an office at four thirty on a Friday
The email to arrive said four people were supposed to attend
The president informed me upon arrival the other two would not be coming
Subterfuge, the non-alert of the employee to drain the most out before truncation

The avoidance of startling a bull in a computer system
Deletion, destruction of data, the milk-blood of money
A decision was made two months ago abruptly to shift accounting systems
Without request of my input, this was happening, my superior said he had no say

It costs twenty thousand dollars and about three thousand a year
Replacing one that cost $600; I did not understand.  Now I do.
They did not pay anyone to train me.  Why waste medicine on a terminal animal?
I figured out the software like a maze I was born to run on some empirical addiction

To learn, to grow, taking on the challenge of the moment, what was asked
Slipping, forgetting the lessons of the machine
That I am in this a number on the financial statements I prepare
For bodies that own assets; we are trading time for digits in banks

The thought a man and his siblings chairing a trust would restructure me without a goodbye
The insulated priority to be treated as a remainder in a quotient
Lopped off the body in deliberate impersonal cessation
Prompting me to begin life once more typing on resumes
Cover letters and explanations referencing the fallout of men like Kenneth Lay

I do not want my talents to make money for men like that
The initial shock, tears dripped the reservoir
Realizing the man who hired me is no longer in charge
The owners have ousted the ranks of logic, detailed discussion

The republic has flooded. Porsches in designated parking spots
Puffed chests and breasted trophy wives for a man
Who knows his father could have been a billionaire
And ended up with some sum of millions

Understanding the mathematics, shifting ones and zeroes
I woke up depressed Friday morning later in the day
I got downsized in a jolt of numb ache contemplation
I woke up Saturday excited positive about what life can be

Enron taught me bitter does not do a damn thing for better
Like Twain said anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel
In which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured
I am divine love.  I wish you peace.

Take these passwords.  Take my house of bricks.  Patch your straw.
Slice whatever you think of me away.
I will be egoless
Slip through the shadow of a man I no longer will be.

Forests sprout from rain, but nourish growth from shit and fire.
Raze my trees, level to dust, and I will be timber licking the sky
Fuel in letting go of comfort.  Suffering cannot exist without want.
Knowing a path is gone, volition nil, I choose what is open.

March Begins Again

Depression can grip out of the Wednesday abyss
The stale toast lead paint spread of wanting to go nowhere but inward
To lie flat eyes into a pixel pane forest
Taste the absence like marmalade

Recognizing today yoga will not cut the fog
The coagulating air has stiffened and the spoken word group in the bar
The jostling of libido and intellectualization of heart meat
Would drain the last bit of juice in the battery

Ironic introverted energy of alone feels like the charger
The push pin marker of a travel log mapped across the globe
Wanting to go nowhere the compass demagnetized into a question of why
What is the point of seeing another city, the markets to get eaten by

Lost in the translation of how being around more is crushing
How to achieve equilibrium in together and alone
The grand inquisitor clumping malaise draught to the gullet
The lower back pain from the car accident with the insurance company

That won’t return phone calls
To the replacement vehicle that is failing to achieve the advertised miles per gallon
To the dealership that says our tests show the machinery is fine
There is nothing we can do

Typing out block letters and re-reading past years documenting a heart
Where it was to reach out to a human be referred to as disgusting or nothing
To acknowledge beyond what is blatantly condemnable in an ocean of baring being
Wanting to discuss how love works, the cosmic magic of opening

In those parcels of the universe that seemed stuffed with that this is what it is all about
The particles that swarm into the depression and swallow the malignancy with cushion hope
Settling the depression as a temporary inconvenience of perception, which while not destroyed
Is inoperable for the duration of this belief

That there are exchanges a being can participate where the skin comes off, bodies cease to be bodies
But conduits and the space between the quarks and atomic stars mingles into consciously understanding
Presence and how the fears and loves and hopes and depressions of this organic illusion of linear
Are in reality a constancy using time as a platform to reveal itself in waves

Waves that engulf us in this reformatting of what happiness is, joy or delight
Or the quiet victories clamored in the audacity to be seen
To be seen gruesome and awesome and for a common divinity imperfect perpetually
Attempting tangency with ego-less-ness

Rigging

The spider web is rigged in your favor
The twang vibrations stepped
The dew glistening between the strands
Wet dry in the planet’s rotation drinking sun blades

The silk holds
The compression of bodies hurling stones
Through the center wrap
Clumping the sticky nest in gravity

The disaster is a pleasantry
The beautiful destruction a windfall
The jay’s approach pecking at arachnid elbows
Crimpled in beak swallowed into enzyme

The blessing of digestion
Passing intestine into scat
The concern of being me
Trades the everything one is away

As if crunching molt-bones was loss
Of more than a conduit of interpretation
A vehicle of revelation
The fixation of I (earning, redemption, accolade)

Intersected dosage philosophical piano key reverberating in web
Clinging to the I doing excludes the whole universe one is
The zero sum obviousness of mathematics
Electron, proton, two-side equations, we are nothing if not balance

Spiritual infinity computing itself in endless iterations in duality
Veiled in the perception illusion of self and the ubiquitous constant

Of the everything we are also as the parameters of time negate
The being does cease, only is in a boundless stillness of internal motion

Capturing the iterations of one organ shifting copied by reciprocal compartments
To maintain the math, the gorgeous language of the goddess we are
Costuming in the hilarity of profanity dancing in eons courting mirrors
To decipher happiness or fate or extinction for an ego’s application

The spider web is rigged in your favor
Holding in the waves we are resounding in aggregations
Impossible to sever from the blind variables of equilibrium

Homework

In school nobody wanted to do their homework
The studious complied, perhaps enjoyed,
But the labor of lighting the erudite
The hours expanding and retracting the muscle of thought

These are a temperamental form of diligence
When compelled by a grading scale
An assignment of accomplishment
Packaging amassed thoughts into a ledger mark

Play sat abandoned in folklore
The conformist rider’s crop hung by the blackboard
Green paint, white chalk smashed in digits
Pulverized dust pressed into the rote

History books and geometry, religion and astronomy
This orbiting hunk, a fireball’s fleck
On screens of high definition politick
Resorting to the bar fight, the small-hand joke

The emperor with zero to freshman-Senator experience
In the realm of fund accounting or governmental function
To lead naked to a land of the fired coal plants smoking
Dinosaurs ridden by humans into zoological arks

Who wants to study mathematics over pointed jabs of saying-cud?
Who wants to think that hard over pink-nuggets of blame?

Rather fireworks and distract from all we have is an election this year
Nothing will happen of substance, but popcorn to inhale the show
The C students popping bubble-gum sparkling podiums for votes
The A students crunched in desks exasperated ridiculed in a lake of Brawdo

State of Heart and Truth

There is a crimpled fold page in me
Continents and stratospheres are written
Meadows, cumulonimbus, nebula, and punched tickets
Tire skids, stair railings, bird girl feathers, and milk teeth

There was this magic act my parents performed
They were nipple young Catholic wanting to fornicate and so married
It snowed on their wedding February ninth over forty years ago
It snowed the week my first marriage ended on Thursday December eleventh

Louisiana bayou moss and I am two generations descended from swamp people
The kind that hunt in marsh and float logs in spring floods
Sugarcane and one room houses with no conditioned air, humid take-it folk
A manner of heritage and staying course, a stubbornness to godly love

The universal rubble-shake of a human chest cavity
The maraca nature of attempting contact
Garbled gravel and thick slimy blood spittle
No specials in the reduced for quick sale salvage bin

All there at some interval of haircuts, follicles and hue tints
Electric shears and curling irons modeling decency
Conversations on the foot press chair
Swept floor hair and tip to the stylist to make-believe the mirror

This box machine used to work differently
I wrote letters and poems, talked in sectionals with blemished hope
I knew the ultraviolence, risks, and diving boards of delve waters
I took shrapnel and kept marching, stared suns and licked fire

I loved like a kamikaze madman ready to eat the orbed apple
Poison or sugar or orchard or watch cogs uncoiling exasperated
I could write a fight; I could warrior for love with slashed lips and shred knuckles
I would swallow ghost peppers at dawn and Anjeo tequila at dusk

Seen and unseen god; seen and unseen portals of the universe
Whisper me into a shaken syrup distilled and languid
Questioning what any of this is; if this machine inside is still operable
Testing the transmission the smoke-kick zombie glaze of presence

To be present again; to feel more than the body on a hospital bed
Wrist bracelet oscillating in auditory awareness of a ghostly voice
Computing real and dead, hard and soft, trying to be soft, pliable
Stigmatized vision wondering if the retinas were ever capable of seeing some truth
