Delegate Counts

I captured the delegate counts on the Democratic Presidential nomination as of 4/11/16.

Current Delegates Clinton 1,547 59.3% Sanders 1,061. 40.7%  However in every state but Arizona, Clinton has received a higher delegate percentage than the vote she received.  The total skew of delegates is 107.  This is a subversion of the electorate going on in plain view.  If corrected to correlate with the percentage of vote to allocate delegates the race would be Clinton 1,440 55.2% and Sanders 1,168 44.8%.

Tin

I used to have a place I would put my prayers to god
Like a tin of band aids, twine, and kazoos
To add or take an object as time shifted grains
The child in me associated this with his ribcage

As if I folded my palms, thumbs upright steeple pose
Eyelids descended, breath subdued in patient conference
I would rummage to speak in consort about the spider web
Of the morning that netted my nostrils as I rose from the pillow

In the sanctuary the pinchers seized penitent skin
Reserved in tow for a year, a moment of purpose to surface
Like the blow hole of the orca to flash sacredness
Bursting out of the innocuous

A street light pausing traffic to catch the gaze of a passer by
A sacramental stumble chancing the agony of bloodshed
Into a martyred moment of divine fate
That this good was to come of this bad as if mathematics applied

Or there was a beginning or an ending despite this Alpha Omega Grecian dialogue
There was that tin inside me I rummaged for markers
Of why baby teeth catapulted when or
Silence at fifteen years old from a certain physical body

Creates a suicide bomber of hormones hijacking veins
Crumpled purple ink swirly script paper notes in lockers
Mountain for Moses like indelible in memory
Crossroads of identity to trade speech

With the poster of Trent Reznor I hung on the ceiling directly over my bed
To jester the heresy face of that downward spiral
A spiritual mind wanting to know where a self was to fit in
Who is capable of getting this manuscript kept in the tin

The menagerie of scribbled interrogatories
Pecking crow-like on the metal of a necklace printed
Real love is forever
Laughter and stunt doubles Eric Draven and Brandon Lee

As if there is a place beyond this
A coming back from resembling any potency in prayer
That it was never about favors, but presence
Wanting to comprehend more of the puzzle of where do I put these tin contents

So many curves and jigs the lush and the barren hues
To see the fluid on the bandages crimson and dried blacken scat
Voodoo bone readings and tarot junkies mouth-washing with holy water
Spit rollick laughter at seeing a gutter glass shard diamond

I remember the day I quit praying
I quit asking what do you want from me, what is your will
I ceased to see myself as an employed vessel
I resigned evoking the idea that everything

I ever put or took from that tin
Was meant to be in the moment it was touched
And then let go
The very idea of a question to ask became nonsense

Why was nonsense
What next was nonsense
When will was nonsense
Who is it was nonsense

The point was to pay attention
The tin emptied was never touched again
The present moment neutered time
Love is intention to release what we are

Boundaries no longer exist
Separation cannot be
The concept of prayer would require a medium between the present moment
And some conceptual alteration in reality which one aspires to occur

The space between want and is
Illusion so of the ego breeching the pond’s surface
So it is as we breathe beyond breath

Abrahamic

At the root of almost all historical perversions of the two dominant monotheisms on the planet: Christianity and Islam is the extrapolated anti-feminism at the core of Abrahamic patriarchy.  An Abrahamic god is masculine, the leading prophets in the theater of teachings are men.  Women are subservient and sublimated in rights and privileges in the ability to perform, participate, and lead in the power structure of the groups.

The Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, African slavery by humans of European descent, Imperialism using the Bible as a pacifier of rebellion, women in each of these Christian-led pursuits took an uneven burden that echoes in the Planned Parenthood shootings and legislative combat disproportionally affecting women of color in America today.  Women’s access to birth control and healthcare is the number one issue to curb population growth in the poorest populations of the Earth for our species to survive.

The Taliban and Boko Haram are perverted hijacks of Islam where a female’s access to education, choice, power, and her body are prohibited, stolen, and mangled in the mashing maw of a patriarchal beast.  If the world can focus on one thing to stop this type of violence it is to understand what feminism is, how men raise sons to be feminists and to understand the importance of shifting towards matriarchal principles of empathy, equality, and growth over the patriarchal systems of consolidating power, violence, and ownership.

Pond

The pond is a billowing spittoon of churning sediment
First three months winter into spring
Upheaval, the agitating pollen
Forcing one to grow

Car wreck totaled, shivering after midnight
Driver ran a red light back mangled tightness

Dental implants failing, surgeon will not return calls
Not covered by insurance, memories of childhood
Lumber to face, a bicycle, movement, quiet

Lost job; blindsided in corporate restructuring
Apologies and letters, severance and mortgage
Owner thinks he can make more money
Rewriting resume for the seventh position in fifteen years

Lover pushed away because one is not sure how to be a person
Or if one can be what one wishes to feel and does not
Trying to lay a pillow down the way others never afforded

Bill for solar panels coming due in September
State is broken oil prices down
Not sure if the promised credit will come
Payments, dancing voltaic arrays of wonder sun

Brother’s family from out of country invited to live for two months
See a toddler niece turn two, a couple navigate the waters
Tempting an introvert to find balance as the tumultuous undulation
Rocks the bow to center a buzzing cauldron of identity’s uncertain tattoo

Daughter verbalized her extrication
Eleven years and she would rather us share dinner over in the town she knows better
Than to spend an entire weekend in the city where her father lives
Squishing ego and love and time and proportions into a capsule of sublimation

Former spouse arranges black-op cell-phone grandparent pickup
Child is gone, no returned phone calls, texts, letter, emails
Daughter like her mother will not respond
Mangled mouth attempting discussion with ears

So long ago took to the pen and keyboard
Echoing into the pond to at least be self interpreted
A mirror image of empathy on the ceiling of the lake
Words coming back as if this was a conversation

Dirt flares in pinched nerves and a scattered budget of time
The mind’s attention between varied exercises in survival
Biological vehicle to drive, currency to finance sustenance and shelter
Love of adult partnership; love of genetic continuation

Filaments and drivel scud floating in a lukewarm bath
Tepid as anxiety and the formality of survival
Of wanting to be alive, to untangle this fishing line
Wrapping logs and car tires

Murk blood the wanting and not wanting
The proactive war of volition to choose, to be, to say
This is what one wants; this is who I am and wish to be
With time, with love, within the auspices of what one can control

Praying to the universe and practicing yoga of love, yoga of body
Yoga of freeing the labyrinth of the mind from rat pellet fixations
Of what if or the scale of relative heaviness from Sudan’s Lost Boys
To this roux of aborted fetuses, breathing children who have no Emoji to offer

Of first world privilege imbibing an atheist’s yolk
To swallow this is it; the taste, the hollow menu
Of alone for decades ciphering language and pheromones
In an equilibrium of alien under this surface quagmire

Hoping this sediment will settle in an hour glass of awakening
That signals conduct, “Let go, release want in all forms and with it suffering”
To be incapable of argument, of request for the love of a wife or daughter or friend
Or a predictable foundation of sustainability; strip the lot to the moment

Be in this now and focus in the darkness, in the wallow quiet hum
Be in the swirl murk, attention to the array of the tempest not the settled aftermath
For this is death, the truncation of the vehicle, the ordered apocalypse of story written
Be in the author’s process, be in the act of creation, be art

Love is only alive in motion; there is not past or future tense or the vivacious instant act
The scum is beautiful ugliness smearing cheeks and puffing lips to breathe under pageant waters
Grime is purpose and so it is eviscerate this idea of need, cull the wicked requirement
In such nudity time is unleashed from shackles… and yet love, oh love

One cannot help but be love, so it is the nature of need of understanding in all epiphanies
The interconnection of all things, so it is I miss my child and
A tender to my heart and a garden to till, so it is I yet plant, I yet plant.

Sunstruck

We are all electrons in need of a nucleus to balance the charge.
Flickers and a digestion that I have had but seconds,
which in time’s dilation feel even more the distorted lot.

Let us be suns together and burn the skies
Melting time into a dilated salve dissipating
So that these moments entwined are like that inside of a black hole
Elongated in memory even if but minute in other’s perception,

To us in this we have found eternity.
The rest will flick into a blinking mouse of relativity,
A pocket of temporal meaning, a juxtaposition of preciousness in this portal of suns dancing.
Be this with me, let us find each other eclipsed by the fury of hearts gone nuclear.

Tolerance

What the human mind can tolerate, Accept
Is a function of release:

Routines, substantive mechanisms of familiarity
Words difficult to pronounce
Concepts one believed one understood
And in the moment of intersection

Grasp on exactly what reality is
Or is mandated to be
Fizzles into a blur of taste buds fumbling
To recognize the present moment

The pillars of family, friends, employed position
Conception of god shake in the awesome notion
Of not going to be any longer

Beloved anchor to attach the mind to the fabric of reality
Dissolves so as to befuddle the notion of quarks and atoms
Creating space for the basis of perception
To bear a parting to mark room

That this person no longer represents love
Conveys love, offers love, yet still is love
This person who was like the affixed vertical reciprocating ladder line
Across rung to DNA vibrating into existence is now detached

The basis of being is in the release
How one understands climbing or standing or breathing
Or any of the building block rituals of identity
To leverage words like wife, daughter, brother, husband

Letting go to be in that space
The opening compassionate reliance obliterated provides
One can live without anything
The will to survive is not measured in coffee spoons of grain to lip

But in the exhalation
The ability to eat the beautiful seed, have the field grow fallow
The field grow to poison, rancid and a paste of ignominy smeared cross lips
To stare into a sun of circling ravens and smile

For one is being in the heated cool
One is the morning’s dew rising and evaporating into everything
